The sun rises gloriously over Thompson Falls and the Clark Fork Valley. The extra color in our sunrises and sunsets, of late, is due in part to the wild fire smoke in our area. Photo courtesy of Kate Baxter.
We would like to acknowledge Sandra Muster for 30 years of continuous service to our School District as a School Board Member! Board members receive no compensation for what can often be a thankless and difficult job as they listen to the various stakeholders and carefully weigh the consequences of their decisions. In May, Sandra was once again elected by her peers to serve as Board Chairperson, a position that requires many, many additional hours of service.

NEWS & EVENTS
Thompson Falls School District was notified at the end of May 2024, that all students in grades K through 12 would have access to free meals, both breakfast and lunch, for the entire 2024-25 School Year. As part of the “Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act”, the new Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows high-need schools to serve free school meals to ALL students regardless of their household income. Community Eligibility ensures that kids have the food and nutrition needed to succeed in the classroom and eliminates paperwork for parents. This benefit will begin on August 26, 2024.
More information about the Community Eligibility Provision can be found here.
