    Blackfoot Telephone Youth Tour to Washington D.C.
    Each year Blackfoot Telephone sponsors two local high school students ages 16 or 17 to the Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour. The Youth Tour is in Washington D.C. in June 2019. Selected students must be under the age of 18 at the time of the Youth Tour. Blackfoot Telephone covers all expenses. Students interested please see Mr. Christensen for more details.     2024 Youth Serve Montana Scholarship
     
     
    $1,000 Scholarship for seniors attending a Montana high school who are planning on attending a Montana Campus Compact school who have volunteered 50 hours of service in their community within a 12 month period - certified by their Counselor, Principal or County Superintendent.  Applications are available online at serve.mt.gov.

    Clerk and Recorders Offfice Scholarship Applications are not yet being accepted for the annual $1000 scholarship given by the Montana Association of Clerk & Recorders. Applicants must be graduating seniors who plan on attending an in-state college or university. Applications will be available in Mr. Christensen's office.

    Blackfoot Scholarship

    As part of Blackfoot’s commitment to education, the Blackfoot Communications Scholarship Fund provides academic scholarships for students from within Blackfoot’s service areas. The scholarship program is designed for post-secondary students served by Blackfoot at either their parents’ residence or their own principal residence. The scholarship is available for either college/university or trade schools. Application online at www.blackfoot.com/education

    The Chuck Evans Scholarship

    Two $500 scholarships are being sponsored by the Rex Theater. Chuck Evans was a screenwriter and producer. Two of his closest friends are proud to honor him by creating a scholarship in his name.     Luke Comerford Memorial Scholarship

    This $600 scholarship is sponsored by The Comerford Family in honor of their son, Luke. Graduating student-athletes with great leadership skills who are on the way to postsecondary education are encouraged to apply. Applications are in Mr. Christensen's office.

    Legacy Fund
     
    Scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors of TFHS. First preference shall be given to students pursuing an agriculture-related field of study with full-time status (this may include but is not limited to nutrition, veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, animal sciences, nutritional sciences, vocational arts for diesel and gasoline mechanics, welding, etc. See full list of eligible majors on Montana State University – Bozeman College of Agriculture’s website.) If there are no applicants pursuing an agriculture-related field of study as defined above, other fields of study shall be considered; Academic performance shall be considered; Candidates must demonstrate financial need.     Sanders County Pilot's Assn. Scholarship
    $500 will be awarded to a Sanders County student. Any student enrolled in a college or university in the Aviation field is eligible to apply. Criteria: Essay (300 words or less) on why you have chosen the Aviation field and your education goals.  April 1, 2024

    2024 NLI Educational Scholarship

    Northern Lights is offering 10 - $500 Educational Scholarships to students whose parents are a member of Northern Lights, Inc. Scholarship recipients will be based on the following criteria: Grade Point Average; School & Community Activities; Personal Statement; Financial Need.     Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness Essay Contest

    A $250 scholarship will be awarded for the winning essay from one Thompson Falls Senior. An additional opportunity for $250 is available for the best overall essay from all schools participating. This scholarship has no minimum GPA, nor does it require any commitment for higher education. Applications are available in Mr. Christensen's office.

    Clark Fork Valley Running Club Scholarship 

    Sponsored by the Clark Fork Valley Running Club. Criteria:

    1. Have run cross country and/or track & filed for Hot Springs, Noxon, Plains or Thompson Falls High School during, at a minimum, the past two years. Be on track to graduate from Hot Springs, Noxon, Plains or Thompson Falls High School in the spring of 2021. 3. Must be accepted into a 4-year college or university for the 2021-22 school year. Scholarship applications are available in Mr. Christensen's office.

     Gene B. Jones Scholarship Two $250 scholarships are available. One will be awarded to a senior boy and one to a senior girl. Criteria: Minimum GPA of 3.5; Continuing education beyond high school; Demonstrate character, scholarship and leadership. Applications are available in Mr. Christensen's office.  April 15, 2024
    Montana Wilderness Association Scholarship The applicant must be a current student of a Sanders County high school with plans of graduating and enrolling in a higher education institution in the Fall of 2018. Applications are available in Mr. Christensen's office.  April TBD
     
    Jason Hanna
    Explorations  Memorial Scholarship
     
     Sponsored by Explorations, Inc., this $500 scholarship will be awarded in memory of Jason Hanna, who was a student in the Thompson Falls School District until his untimely death in January 1995. Jason always felt that there are many students in our community who strive for excellence in every aspect of their lives and are rarely commended for their fortitude, perseverance and commitment.     Blanche Hurlburt Education Scholarship

    Kathleen M. Woods Memorial Scholarship
    Kathleen M. Wood was a long time resident of Thompson Falls. She came from a background of culture and learning and wanted to be remembered in this community with a scholarship for a deserving young woman. She was very active in her church. Basis for the scholarship will be distributed equally on need, ability to carry through on goals (academic, community and work), community and church involvement.     Thompson Falls US Bowling Congress Scholarship   3-$500 scholarships are available from The Thompson Falls United States Bowling Congress. Criteria: 1. TFHS senior, graduate in 2016. 2. Acceptance to a school of higher learning (4 yr., Vo Tech., Community College). 3. Must have been a student at Thompson Falls High School for at least two full years.     Blue Hawk Booster Club Scholarship

    $3000 in scholarship money will be given to one student or evenly split between two, three or four deserving students. Qualifications: Academics; Participation & completion in a minimum of 7 sport seasons at TFHS; Must be a student at TFHS for at least 3 full years; Must enroll in a college, university, vo-tech or community college, etc. Applications are available in Mr. Christensen's office.

    The Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. Scholarship 

     

    A $250 and $100 scholarship sponsored by the Fire Fighters Auxillary Fund will be awarded to graduating seniors attending either Noxon High School or Thompson Falls High School who reside within the Trout Creek Rural Fire District. Criteria: cumulative GPA, scholastic achievement, and extra-curricular activities and civic activities. Applications are available in Mr. Christensen's office.

    Thompson Falls Grange Scholarship  
     One $300 scholarship is available from Thompson Falls Grange #123 for one high school senior. The requirements include: Participation in extracurricular activities (including 4-H, church, school, etc.); Applicant's need for a scholarship; Letter from student expressing plans & need for scholarship.     Memorial Scholarship
