Dear students, parents, and guardians,

Welcome to a new school year at Thompson Falls Elementary School! Our Montana State Constitution states that it is the goal of the people to establish a system of education which will develop the full educational potential of each person. We look forward to another exciting year of meeting this goal by working together to bring quality education to the children of our community.

Our district continues to use of Love and Logic in our quest to create responsible students capable of sound decision making. As always, we will place an emphasis on fostering a safe, caring community where all students can feel accepted and secure as they set about their task of learning. We have many resources available, if you are interested in learning more about how we use these ideas at our school or how you can use them at home.

We invite and encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their children's education. Please don't hesitate to call or come in if you have questions or ideas for improving our school. Your questions are always welcome, and there are many ways parents and guardians can be involved at school, including through our PTO or as a school volunteer.

We encourage students to set high goals. You can only accomplish what you try; remember that we are here to support you in reaching these goals. We welcome your ideas, so feel free to talk to your teacher or come down to the office to share your needs and interests. We want you to feel this is your school, and that we are here to help you learn.

We hope this will be the best year ever for everyone at Thompson Falls Elementary! Go BlueHawks!!!

The strength of the United States is not the gold at Fort Knox . . . but the sum total of the education and the character of our people. –Claiborne Pell {Last Day}
